Serafina. Toilet Bowl. September 11th , 2017.
Installing a recent toilet could be a convenient task. Adopt these tips to carry out it yourself. If thou happen to be replacing an old toilet, the obsolete wax gasket will have to be scraped off first. But for the new installation, the first thing that you do is roughen in the toilet bend also floor flange. For this type of work, a putty knife would be your best choice. Removing old bolts and scraping the flange clean will work to prevent any leaks at the base of the bowl.
Position the toilet floor flange so that its level with the floor at the bottom. If the floor doesn't run beneath the toilet, then a finished flooring material should be used so that the screws that hold the floor flange can be tightened into place. To make sure that all of your bolts in line with the center of the drainpipe, set them in plumber`s putty ring before inserting them through the flange.
Next, turn your new toilet upside downside so that you can attach the wax gasket atop the horn (waste outlet) at the bottom of the bowl. Again plumbers putty ring comes in handy for sealing up anything loose ends, especially as you lower the bowl into place over the flange using the bolts as guidelines. Once on the ground, press down and give a twist until thou feel the bowl being pushed into the wax ring.
If thou don't feel it then the flange is too low and thou won`t get a good seal. Also if the wax ring is cold it will probably be too hard for the toilet bowl to seat properly. Add shims when necessary if the bowl isn´t level and be sure that the toilet is aligned to the wall.
After that, tighten all the ring also nut into the bolts with hand. If a rubber tank pad is needed then add it onto the rear of the bowl and fit the rubber gasket onto the flush valve opening on the bottom. Positioning the tank over the bowl, tighten the nuts also rings onto the mounting bolts as well as the hold down bolts at the base with an adjustable wrench.
Throughout all of this, you should be constantly using a level to make sure that your toilet bowl is still level throughout the process. Seal the base of the bowl with plumber‘s putty (or silicone caulk) and after filling the decorative caps with plumber’s putty and putting them over the head of the bolts. You should be nearly finished.
Now you could cut the end out of your supply line stub and attach a shut–off valve, a valve which you will be connecting to your flexible tubing. The tubing should then, in turn, be connected to the base of the tank where a supply stub out must be visible.
But if thou don‚t have sufficient time to do it by yourself then thou can hire a bathroom plumbing repair or plumbing services or 24 hour plumber. I′m sure they will do it fastly but remember you have to pay them expensively.
